You Are Here To Create Your Identity
The Art Of Finding And Creating Yourself
Finding Yourself
Many people are trying to find themselves.
They think that returning to their childhood home or observing their parents will give them deeper insights into who they are.
This keeps us in the past.
The true key to finding yourself is to stop thinking about who you are and to silence your mind.
We are spiritual beings having a human experience. Our spirituality transcends human nature through awareness.
We can’t think of who we are. We can only be who we truly are in the present moment.
Observing your thoughts, emotions, desires, and impulses gives you a higher perspective.
This higher perspective can only be described as your soul. Your true self.
You can find your true self wherever you are. You don’t need to return to your childhood neighborhood, make contact with your parents, or return to the past.
You are found in the present moment.
Creating Your New Identity.
From the true self you are able to create your human identity.
Look at your desires in the present moment and contemplate them.
What desires are meaningful compared to the ones that are egotistical.
Embrace your meaningful desires.
Creating a new identity for yourself requires you to get clear on who you want to become.
Visualize your ideal self.
Identify the habits that contribute towards your ideal self.
Feel the emotions that relate to your ideal self.
Write down a plan for the future determining how you will become the best version of yourself.
This is identity-shifting.
But it is not what you think it is.
It simply helps you to become the type of person that will do what is required to become the best version.
The rest is up to action. And taking action becomes easier when you are clear on:
What you want to do
How are you going to get there
Why are you doing it
Do you have the necessary resources available
How long will it take
Does it serve a higher purpose greater than yourself
So get out a pen and paper.
Write down your plan for the future.
Start getting at it.
