You Are Awareness
Escaping The Illusion
Take a moment to observe your thoughts.
Do you realize that they never stop?
This is because your brain is actually an analytical machine responsible for your survival.
When you meditate you will realize that you truly have no control over the voice in your head.
Some people are terrified by this because of the random, neurotic thoughts that are produced by our brains. Some of them might be primal thoughts that involve violence, erotic sexual desires, or even fantasies about food.
It is more crucial than ever to take a step back and observe your mind.
You are the awareness.
The Illusion Of Self
Many people want to find themselves.
Returning to their childhood neighborhood to uncover some lost secrets of their upbringing. Although this might be helpful if you are actually looking to find some valuable information that might undo psychological conditioning.
But you can always find yourself in the present moment.
Simply realize that you are the awareness that is experiencing the present moment.
Because if you were the voice in your head that would mean that you have absolutely no control over who you are.
Try this experiment…
Find a comfortable position and observe your thoughts. Don’t try and stop them or even engage with them. Simply observe and listen.\
The Stillness Within
When you observe from a place of stillness you will quickly realize who you truly are.
The stillness within.
The consciousness that is listening in peace to your thoughts and experiencing the senses.
This stillness within can be experienced when we are fully immersed in the present moment, yoga practices, or meditation.
This realization that you are the stillness within has 2 names.
